DailyMotion videos are now working through the ‘add clip by url’ feature, we’ve made a subtle but important change to the secret word feature so that your password is now hidden by default on the channel settings page, and a bunch of under-the-hood improvements have been made to file storage and serving of static content so that overall stability and speed has been improved.
Some updates to the site today… Navigation buttons have been added to the Editor so that Help and other pages on the site are just a click away. We’ve also improved the Player so that problematic videos (those suffering from a delay for example) are skipped more reliably and more quickly.
We suffered an outage to the WorldTV site over the past few hours, but all is working again now. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience.
We were having an issue with Mac and PC Safari where a white screen would sometimes appear if you tried to load the Editor or a WorldTV Channel. This issue has now been fixed.
We set ourselves a deadline of a November launch about two months ago and refined it to November 14th a month back. We’ve been working full time on WorldTV development for a year to get it to this point.
We didn’t get everything into our first release that we wanted to (perhaps unsurprisingly) but we’re happy that the basic ‘Create’ functions are there and relatively appealing to the eyes.
We’ve got a lot more coming in the weeks ahead and improvements are being made all the time. We’re aware of a number of bugs and improvements to be made and are currently working on the following…
